I always carry my little Olympus XA with me with some film in it, but this trip it took the back seat as I carried my other camera around. It's hard to juggle around multiple cameras and concentrate on getting some good images. Still some fun ones here that bring back the good memories of the road.

Met some great people, hung out with great friends, made more friends and experienced something incredible that we will carry on with us. I was bummed leaving Shirley without a proper send off ride, but weather did not cooperate. I know Greg will keep her in good company until her next adventure. Made the taxi wait a bit for me while I took the last photos of Shirley. a 6hr flight will be taking back to the West Coast, where I felt like I just left on my motorcycle. So many photos of good times, as I sift through and find some more keepers I will attempt to post them up here to keep the memories rolling. Until next time! Samson

Had some awesome coffee as we waited to head to an Oyster bar with an amazing $1 oyster happy hour. I have had oysters before but not specifically just oysters, and it was awesome. We got a whole bunch of them and in many different shapes and sizes. People lined up here way before opening time and we were lucky to be getting coffee right next door so we got a good place in line easily. The place was packed and for a good reason, good decor and drinks and oysters. Headed out to meet some friends that night and just did the usual Strike Zone challenges. A lot of good characters out that night. Saturday was the day that we had to return the van, and unload Shirley out of the back finally. It was still raining but we caught a lul and got her out and parked in a safe spot. Drove to Manhattan and returned that good ol' box truck and decided to walk to High Line since I have never seen it. It is a super awesome spot and a way better way of walking down Manhattan then the sidewalk. It was drizzling a bit but that was good kept it less crowded. Iron and Air Magazine was having a release party for there new issue in Brooklyn so we all headed to that to some some awesome motorcycles and art. Saw some motorcycle dudes I have not seen in a long time and met some great people. The motorcycle community is pretty awesome that is for sure. Glad I was around for it, the timing was perfect since it would be the last night of the journey for me as I would be flying home in the morning. Went out again and called it early(3am...) since I still had to pack for my flight in the morning. Can't believe it's over!

Definitely has a sweet view on the NYC skyline that seems like you could sit there for a while and just stare at. Went to check out Mast Brothers chocolate since they make super tasty chocolates and you can see some of the process and have some samples which are always good. Got some dinner and then headed to our new favorite bar Skinny Dennis, which became a favorite for the decor, people, and most of all the video games. United Strike Zone became an obsession of ours, since we could challenge each other in groups for hours at a cost of $.25. And when we got a little tired of that, we would take a step to the left and play Gallag or Ms. Pac-Man. Bars are open very late, well by my standards, and you get pretty hungry staying up that late, so luckily there are still food trucks hanging around to give you that few hour past midnight snack which is always appreciated.
